Mugen Monday - Eighteenth Edition

For Those Who Dare Dream.

Good newsletters take a hefty amount of work, but here are today’s moral insights: each person has their own strength - the best way to optimize growth is to have them do what they love.

Take for example Rishiraj, our managing editor at Spiel Anime. He’s quite good with everything Anime, something adjacent to the M.S. Dhoni in our Anime writing world - an all-rounder who knows everything. But there’s this one world which he heavily obsesses over more than anything else. Genshin Impact.

One fine day I felt that Spiel Anime definitely need not limit itself to only Anime and Manga. It’s difficult to technically pinpoint why, but I would attest testimony of the fact that the majority of the Genshin fanbase is more or less a fanbase of the Anime sector as well.

Call it oriental marketing, similar anime-like sprites used as characters and world-building, or whatnot. But the larger mentality of Gnenshin Impact is embedded deeply with a pre-implied knowledge of the Anime world.

And with a Genshin Impact Anime already on its way, why not? So long as it has an anime, we can trace it down irrespective of whether the source is a Manga, a game, a light novel, or visual novel, or anything else for that matter.

Today, we drift a little bit from the primary context of focusing on Anime or Manga solely. Today, as you venture below more into this newsletter, we will be focusing on a certain social-psychological standpoint. Do the Male section of the Anime/Manga fanbase enjoy the Overpowered trope - as if the OP trope was somehow genetically wired for them to enjoy instantly?
