Mugen Monday - Sixth Edition
For Those Who Dare Dream.
It has almost been a month ever since Spiel Anime departed into the territorial seas named ‘newsletter writing convention’. What first seemed to be an unexplored waterside, has now turned into a ‘more-than-yeserday’ familiar gaze of waves.
Mugen Monday, began last month on the 14th of August. Today we are reminiscent not only of the past but also ironically of the future that is yet to come.
In our previous editions, I would handcraft certain things that I had in my mind just for you readers. Such a move was born at the behest of our CEO who wished for me to give birth to this newsletter as if I were both its Okasan and Otousan.
Do male characters serve fans too?
Today, I do believe I have initialised my dear boss’s wishes. From handcrafting (both from a design and writing perspective) to spreading it. (not legs but the newsletter to more people).
In some sense, the Spiel Anime newsletter is the direct frontal reflection of the Weeb-ness that resides within this Editor-in-Chief’s brainz (z intended). Such personalised content is only justified at the reasonable expense that an agency such as ourselves is meant to cater to the growing teenage lovers of the world of Anime and Manga.
Unlike agencies which have to stick to formal nouns and etiquette services to reach old people and boomers, we take pride in catering to the chillest of brainz.
Such agencies that I speak of are so hard-wired and objectivistic in their writing style, and they are precisely so as to ensure that no individual is offended, but still offend millions nonetheless.
Having zoned on the Anime department, we do indeed take pride in our subjectivistic and personalised tone of writing - something I endorse to our writers in our company. Objective robotic writing that an AI can spit out or subjectivistic human letters given birth by our human writers, choose your calling.
[ Ironically a good AI such as GPT-4 which is the big brother of free-for-all all GPT 3, can spit out this as well, making my point null and void (again computer joke) ].
For today’s edition, I had one of our writers tell me what she felt about the growing fanservice in Anime. And I wish to convey to you what our writers have given birth to. Here’s hoping you like it.
For Those Who Dare Dream.
